  • Reducing the average cost of technical support to rectify outstanding technical issues by 50%
  • Increasing principal satisfaction in ICT by 70%

Assessment, Reporting and Management System (ARMS)

Flow Chart

Your school will be independently audited to determine its status against 180+ individual quality criteria that represents a high performing ICT infrastructure capable of supporting technology immersed curriculum, 1:1 and beyond.

The quality criteria is relevant and up-to-date and covers the following key assessment areas:

  • WAN
    1. General
    2. Policies and Procedures
  • LAN
    • LAN Infrastructure Review
      • Wireless Review
    • LAN Node Review
    • LAN Configuration Review
    • LAN Security Review
  • Client
    • Client Review
  • Server
    • Server Review
    • System Security

Once an audit has been completed, a real time report can be generated by the school providing instant feedback. This report contains:

Summary Report for Leadership Teams

  • Overall status and scores for each assessment area (assessment topics), including prioritisation (via scores and traffic light indicators) and estimated effort and time required for progression
  • Overall score/rating for entire assessment

Detailed Report for schools

  • Findings and recommendations for each individual assessment criteria, including prioritisation (via scores and traffic light indicators) and estimated effort and time required for rectification

After a report has been generated, tasks identified as requiring action can be allocated by the leadership team to school resources (i.e. technician, IT manager, ICT coordinator, eLearning coordinator, etc.) for rectification using the Task Manager. Via a 'to do list', the school resource can Action and update the task, which in turn dynamically updates the status of the assessment. All allocated tasks and associated changes are recorded in a Progress Report. In essence, ARMS® automates the change management cycle via an integrated workflow manager.

Please note: Data from one school cannot be viewed by another school.

"The results of the IT infrastructure audit you produced were instrumental in setting our priorities and helping us set a strategy which would enable us to move forward. Even though we have other external IT support, your report provided us with a clear and concise record of what was working well, what needed to be done in the short term and highlighted areas which would be problematic for us if not attended to immediately. This experience, allowed us to up-skill our knowledge and understanding in areas which were becoming increasingly important to education and the digital revolution!!"

FITS (Framework for IT Support) is professional development for school leaders and IT support staff. FITS is 'the international standard' for managing ICT in schools.

FITS was developed by BECTA (UK) over a 6 year period by highly customising the international ITIL standard, and is available as an international certificate through SQA (Scottish Qualifications Authority).

TT Partners is the sole Asia-Pacific training partner for FITS. FITS is a highly effective tool kit for empowering school leaders with managing ICT, including costs. FITS is not technical, it is a management process, and therefore targets school leaders, IT Managers and IT Support Staff.

As effective change must come from the top, best results are achieved when a school Principal in conjunction with their Business Manager and/or IT Manager attend the course.

of FITS training

FITS not only improves the quality of ICT services, it has been shown to increase staff efficiency by up to 25%, while vastly reducing ICT support costs to provide the structure to support 1:1 and beyond.

FITS Graph

"For me as principal the FITS training has been particularly valuable because it provides a common language to use with staff to make the work of all us much more efficient and effective. I believe that for any schools that are looking for a way to improve the way that they manage ICT the FITS course and the subsequent implementation of FITS process will bring enormous benefits in efficiency and effectiveness. These benefits will be enhanced, in my opinion, if the principal undertakes the training as well so that there is commonality of understanding between ICT staff and the decision makers in the school."
